FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I mainly focus on life coaching, stress management, goal setting and balancing perceptions. As explained on my “About Me “ page I am NOT a medical doctor, clinical psychologist, therapist, counsellor or psychiatrist. I am NOT qualified to diagnose, advise or treat any mental health conditions and I do NOT prescribe any pharmaceuticals.

  • Different coaches use different models to structure their sessions. A popular model is the GROW model which is an acronym for the areas explored. Goals, Reality,Options and the Way Forward. Lots of questions are asked and you may be challenged along the way as you develop the best action steps for you on your journey towards achieving your goals.

    My coaching sessions are bespoke, I remain flexible in my approach and tailor my sessions according to my clients needs.

  • Currently, I am an online coach using primarily Zoom. Clients are responsible for scheduling their own appointments on the website at times that are convenient for them. During the session I will guide you through a 6 point process.

    1. Review the previous session and the actions you have completed.

    2. Set the goal or outcome for todays session.

    3. Consider where you are at the present moment with this goal.

    4. Explore your options in meeting this goal.

    5. Agree on some action steps to move you forward.

    6. Summarise our discussion and confirm your action steps before completing the session.

  • As a former dentist I fully appreciate the demands of being a clinician. I primarily aim to work with clinicians (in various health care sectors) but also extend my services to any high-performance individual who is stressed out and feeling depleted in any walk of life.

  • I offer the following:

    • A safe , non-judgemental, confidential environment for you to fully express and overcome the challenges you may currently face.

    • Facilitation. By listening objectively and asking you quality questions, we work together to enable YOU to arrive at the solutions that are right for YOU.

    • My full attention. Our coaching sessions are all about YOU. It’s role reversal time, it’s your time to fully express, vent and offload your emotional baggage with a view to balancing your perceptions about your current situation, formulating a clear action plan and moving towards your desired outcome.

    • Accountability. If you say you’re going to do something, I will hold you accountable.

  • Please do your best to be on time for your session. To make sure that your time is being well spent please come fully prepared with a goal, topic or issue that you would like to work on. It is also helpful that your sessions take place in a quiet, private location where you will not be disturbed or overheard for the session duration. Other items such as a drink, pen and paper or a laptop to record your notes on are also helpful.

  • Many coaches do not list their prices on their websites. I will not attempt to lure you in, spam you to death with marketing emails and then hit you with an extortionate fee list at the end. I like to be fully transparent and disclose my fees on my website so that there is no mystery and you are free to contact me regarding other issues.(Cancellation policy, late arrivals, missed appointments and refunds are all covered in my contract available upon request).

  • I try offer as much client flexibility as possible that is why I offer a single session, three and six session packages. Nearly all high-performance individuals have used a coach at some stage of their careers. I am a true believer in self empowerment and my style of coaching does not require you to sign up for the rest of your life. Different objectives have different time spans, so we may work together for several days, weeks or months- it all depends on the issues you present with.

    My current packages have an expiration of 6 months.

    Over time you may no longer require my services or wish to seek coaching elsewhere - that is totally fine and a natural part of growth and development.

    Sometimes in life we may all get a little overwhelmed, loose direction or simply just feel stuck.

    A coach can facilitate your journey from where you are now presently to where you want to go.

    As the old saying goes “Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.”
